2010 Edna Valley Vineyard Merlot Paso Robles San Luis Obispo County
Our Edna Valley Vineyard 2010 Merlot opens with aromas of cocoa powder, anise and black cherry, complemented by hints of leather and humidor. Fine tannins and a bright acidity create a rich, balanced mouthfeel. The merlot is grown mainly in Paso Robles, in northern San Luis Obispo County just north of the Edna Valley Wineyard winery. This warm growing region is ideal for growing merlot because it gives the Merlot its dark color, blueberry and cherry flavors with supple tannins and a lingering carmel finish. This Merlot is good with everything from sauteed chicken to roasted meets.
